Children's Ministries

Sunday School for Grades 2-5

Children in grades 2nd to 5th will meet upstairs in the Education Wing on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. This year we will explore the Gospel of St. Mark, lead by Elizabeth Struthers Malbon and Elizabeth Foster. Elizabeth Struthers Malbon is a renowned scholar on this Gospel, and Elizabeth Foster has extensive experience teaching children, including the use of the Godly Play curriculum. This is an outstanding opportunity for our grade school kids to get an intimate look at the life and teachings of Christ as recorded in the first Gospel written.

Children's Chapel

Children’s Chapel reflects the liturgy and tradition of the Episcopal Church. Children ages 3 to 6 participate in this service, as acolytes, crucifers, & lay readers. Children's Chapel begins at 10:30 a.m. in Martin Chapel, September to May. Then children join their parents for communion. For many children, Children's Chapel begins a lifelong love of church and Jesus. Three adults shepherd these young believers. Parents are welcome to attend.

Nursery

All are welcome to attend services in the sanctuary. But, for our youngest (infants to 6 year-olds), we offer our nursery which is staffed by two trained adults. The nursery is open from 9:15 a.m. to the end of the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday, from September to May.
